Commemorating October 7

New Resources Coming Soon!

Moving Traditions is developing new special edition curricular materials to help educators and teens commemorate the anniversary of October 7. Available in mid-September, the materials will build upon our previous session, Israel at War, offering updates and a ritual to mark the moment.

Session Objectives:

  • Participants will consider what the one-year anniversary of October 7th means to North American Jews
  • Participants will gain an understanding of the timeline of major events in the aftermath of October 7 and reflect on their own personal, emotional timeline of the past year
  • Participants will take part in a ritual of grief and memory to mark this moment

This new session will be available upon request free of charge via our Curriculum Portal. Sign up below to view our previous special edition sessions, and we will notify you when this new session becomes available.

Exclusive for Partners

In addition to the free session, we are also developing for our partners a B-Mitzvah family education session and a 6-8 session track on Jewish identity, peoplehood, and Israel for Kulam, which will be ready after the High Holidays.
